Resurrection (Opstandelsen)
Here is a Danish Zombie film that came out last year. No word yet on when it will be available in the US - neither Rotten Tomatoes or Netflix have a listing for it - but a 6.8/10 score on IMDB indicate that this one could be good.
Immortals
While there are other movies by this title (one of which I'll be posting in the upcoming week or so), this is a new offering in the new ancient Greek epic trend.
Ink
This is an amazing movie. Just from the trailer, you can tell that it is one phenomenal, dark shot after another. The story is very unique, and quite powerful.
Rotten Tomatoes: 100% fresh (yes - you read that right), liked by 78% of the masses

The Warriors Way
Guaranteed to be the best Ninja-Cowboy movie you've ever seen. It isn't getting very good press, and I haven't seen it yet, but I think the key to enjoying this movie might be managing your expectations before you watch it. It's a movie about cowboys fighting ninjas, after all.

Inhabited Island
This looks like a pretty cool Russian SciFi movie. Rotten Tomatoes doesn't have a rating for it right now, and Netflix has 3.3 stars but only 22 ratings, so I don't think that means much, since I've noticed that some of the people on there will vote on a movie without having seen it. The DVD is available on Amazon, but it isn't clear when Netflix is getting it.
The Clone Returns Home
I haven't seen this one yet, but it appears to be a pretty cerebral offering from Japan.
Camp Hell
Also known as "Camp Hope", this is a upcoming horror flick starring Jesse Eisenberg from "Zombieland"
Sword In The Moon
This is a South Korean martial arts flick that looks awesome, but doesn't have any Rotten Tomatoes reviews. The Netflix reception has been decent at 2.9 stars, though.
Hobo with a Shotgun
Here is another movie that might be so-bad-it's-good, and is certainly generating a lot of buzz.
The Troll Hunter
This movie looks like it will be terrible, but so many people are excited about it I feel like I have to post it. It uses the "found footage" style of "The Blair Witch" with what appears to be made-for-Syfy level CGI. I would be happy to be wrong about it, though.
Skyline
This movie hasn't gotten very good reviews - actually they've been terrible. However, I'm hoping that watching this movie with the knowledge that the plot is likely bad and the acting/directing is questionable will allow me to overlook these things and bask in the special effects.
Rotten Tomatoes: 17% Fresh
Update: The storyline is a little trying, but I thought the aliens were unique (despite the outward similarities one class has to The Matrix' Sentinels) and the ending was interesting.
My opinion: 5/10

The Devil's Backbone
This is a Spanish horror movie directed by Guillermo del Toro. I loved it, and almost everybody else who has seen it does too.

Eden Log
Another French Science Fiction offering. This was a fun ride - a bit confusing at times, but it came together at the end. Lots of action.

Timecrimes
This is a Spanish SciFi flick. I really enjoyed this movie, but you have to be a little patient with it through the first half. Don't watch any of the other trailers for this movie before watching the movie, though - for reasons I don't understand they give away some pretty key plot points in the alternate trailer.

Let The Right One In
There is an American redo of this film, but the original is widely regarded as being the better film, provided that you don't mind the subtitles.
The Restless
This trailer doesn't have english subtitles, but the DVD does have them (according to Netflix) and this looks awesome anyways.
Monsters
This is a phenomenal movie. Others have called it a "Cloverfield" knock-off, but that is completely off. "Cloverfield" was a fun monster movie, but "Monsters" is a much deeper, powerful story. This is the kind of movie that even your SciFi ambivalent friends will get into.
Moon
This is a great science fiction movie from the same director as "Source Code". I think it is apparent from the trailer, but in case it isn't this is more of a cerebral movie, so don't watch this if you're in the mood to watch some shit get blown up.
The Thing (2011)
This is a Prequel to the 1982 "The Thing", but with the same title, just to be confusing.
IP Man
This is a really good movie. Like other Chinese epics, it has powerful cinematography, but not the beautiful landscapes that I was accustomed to. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first I've seen of Donnie Yen, and I'm pretty impressed and looking forward to his other movies.
